Munster Chess Union AGM Update

The attendance at the MCU AGM last night (13th October) was two members short of the quorum. As a result it is proposed that a deferred AGM be held between rounds next Sunday at 4 pm. The various reports were discussed in detail and the meeting voted to accept them but these recommendations will need to be ratified at the deferred AGM.

The motions were also considered but most need more discussion than could realistically be achieved in the time available next Sunday. So the suggestion is to set up an EGM over Zoom in November to consider the proposed League Rule changes.

Fees for the coming season will be set at €200 for Division 1 and €100 for lower Divisions. In accordance with League Rules Appendix B fees not paid before Round 3 will increase by €25 per match day until paid. We agreed to extend the deadline in view of the clubs being notified so close to Round 1.
