The Munster Championship 2015 has been won by Paul Walsh. Diarmuid Reidy won the Joe Browne Cup (Under 1500). More details can be found here.
Cork and UCC Chess Clubs have announced that they will run two seven round rapidplay events to raise sponsorship for Keegan O'Mahony's trip to the World Under 20 Championship. The tournaments will be held in UCC and full details can be found on the Cork Chess Club website.
Congratulations to Keegan O'Mahony and Diana Mirza who have been selected to represent Ireland at the World Under 20 Junior Championships. The championships will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia from 9th to 16th Sptember 2015.
For the fIrst time in the history of Tralee Chess Club the league resulted in a tie between Padraig O'Sullivan & Eric Salsac. Four tie break games over a month all resulted in hard fought draws and the two worthy combatants have been declared joint champions.
