Division 1 Score Updates

Please note that the Division 1 leaderboard has now been updated so that it includes the adjustments applied by the arbiter after Rounds 9 and 10.

Munster League 2016 Roundup

The Munster League roundup is scheduled for Sunday 8th May at Springfort Hall. The first round of matches will begin at 12:00 and the final matches will start at 5:00 pm.

In Division 1 Cork A look likely to repeat their success of last year with Adare being the only other team still with some hopes of success. Tralee are likely to be relegated. Current standings for Division 1 are available here and detailed game results are available here.

In Division 2 Charleville and Cork B will be fighting it out for promotion. Division 2 results are available here and detailed game results are available here.

Division 1 Score Adjustments

In Division 1 Rounds 9 and 10 four players were not added to their team panels before the deadline of midnight on the Sunday of the match. The players were Dan Clancy (Sarsfield), Thomas Dunne Junior (Ennis A), Paddy Quinlan (Ennis B) and Brendan Dobbin (Ennis B).

The relevant MCU rules say that these games should be treated as walkovers. However since the players had actually turned up and played the actual results of the games were recorded and submitted for rating. However the team scores will be adjusted by the equivqlent amount and the opponents will also have their score increased by the same amount.

Implementing the penalty in this way was considered fairer to the individual players who were not at fault. The arbiter sent an email to all the Division 1 Team Captains advising them of this development.

Unfortunately the results pages are loaded directly from the database and there is currently no facility for adding these manual adjustments. I am working on this but in the meantime I will add a table showing how many match and game points to adjust the affected team results.
